Backstory so far:
Ella Pawman starred in a series of black-and-white cartoons when she was in her 20's. Her thin and sickly appearance, as well as the 'X' scar on her face allowed her to portray a destitute feline in the "Ella the Alley Cat" cartoons, where she had many adventures while trying to find food and a warm place to sleep. The cartoons turned out to be pretty popular in theatres during their run from 1925 - 1930. In 1931, Ella underwent surgery and received a total re-haul in her looks to fit with the new Technicolour cartoons. "The Adventures of Ella Pawman" ran for several decades until her retirement. Ella decided to start a rescue and law-enforcement squad with her showbiz money known as the "Ella Pawman Squad". There is usually one EPS chapter in large-scale cities, squad members must live in the building and study the C.C.M.I. book to always be informed and on duty to help protect and serve different cartoon characters - no matter the location or art style.
Personality:
While she looks relatively healthy for someone her age, her mental health is rapidly deteriorating. She has random bouts of dementia and amnesia which cause her emotions to go out of control and make her very unpredictable. Ella has a lot of pride, and doesn't like the idea of nursing homes, medication or aides to help live her daily life. Occasionally, she will has moments of wise and worldly knowledge ... if she ever remembers.
Talents:
Ella loves the spotlight and to entertain - one way she does this is by having the skill to pull objects out of negative space for comedic effect. Ella is also impervious to most pain, and can recover from a classic anvil drop or being cut to ribbons within seconds. Ella used her talents to gain stardom as a pitiful pauper pussycat in her original 1925 cartoons.
